Numerical investigation of natural convective heat transfer of Fe3O4/ethylene glycol nanofluid in electric field

Abstract: In this study, natural convection heat transfer of /ethylene glycol nanofluid around a horizontal platinum wire was investigated using computational fluid dynamics method. Laminar flow conditions and Constant temperature boundary condition on the surface of the platinum wire exist. Platinum wire immersed in beaker containing ethylene glycol. The results showed that the natural convection heat transfer coefficient increases with increasing volume fraction of nanoparticles and dependence of heat transfer to the volumetric fraction of nanoparticles decreases in high Rayleigh numbers.
